A Level results 2024

Students at The Warren School celebrated an excellent set of A Level results again this year.  Students achieved the highest ever results with more than a quarter of grades awarded at A and A*. This summer’s results, as with previous years, are built upon a great deal of hard work and dedication from our students. The overall pass rates for both the A Levels and Level 3 vocational courses were outstanding and well deserved.   The majority of students are now heading towards the University of their choice and we wish them well in their next stage of life whether this is University or an apprenticeship. Among the top achievers was Sorin Cegolea , who achieved A*A*A in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics; Londrina Hyseni who achieved A*A*A in Physics, Mathematics and Further Mathematics and Rhianna Islam who achieved A*A*A in English Literature, Religious Studies and History.  Mohammad El Sayed achieved A*AAA in Arabic, Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. Sorin said, ‘I am delighted with my results and want to thank all of my teachers for their support.’ Fatima Nadeem achieved D*D*D* in Applied Science and A*A* in Italian and Urdu. Fatima said, ‘I’m grateful for all of staff and teachers who have helped me through my A Levels and BTEC courses.  I am looking forward to starting at Queen Mary University.’ Students completing the Level 3 Extended Diploma courses, which are  equivalent to three A Levels, with numerous students achieving distinction and distinction stars which is equivalent to three A*/A grades at A Level. These results mean that students on these vocational courses have also been able to access courses at leading Universities.   The Warren School is extremely proud of all of our student’s achievements, and a huge thank you to the students, teachers and parents for their hard work and support. The students are off to start their higher education and apprenticeships - an exciting time for them – we know they will be a credit to the school.

Futures Evening 2025 - Tuesday 4th March

As part of National Careers Week, 21 professionals (including some ex-students) from industry attended The Warren School to give short presentations to our students, across all year groups, and to their parents and carers. This informative event inspired our students by providing information, advice and guidance about their future career paths, with the opportunity to ask questions from the various professionals. Our presenters talked about what they do, what education route they took, e.g. university, FE college, and apprenticeships, and gave advice to the students about how to get into their field.  Research shows that young people who had been in contact with several employers were nearly twice as likely to believe that they had a good idea of the knowledge and skills needed for the job they wanted to do.    Students are encouraged to investigate job profiles from the National Careers Service website, where they can look into skills and qualifications needed to get into jobs, what the work would be like, the average salary they could expect and what the career prospects are: https://nationalcareers.service.gov.uk/explore-careers   A big thank you to the following presenters who presented at our Futures Evening:     Charlotte Clarke Associate director, Investor Relations M&G Real Estate, Didem Gokpinar Brand experience coordinator, Jamie Oliver group, Diana Naftanaila Service manager GSK, Michael Compton Director, M&A and Strategic Transactions Legal, Barclays Bank Lawyer, Chloe Eloise Willis (The Royal Veterinary College), Amjad Syed Pharmacist SuperCare Pharmacy, Robert Andrews Trading standards LBBD, Dr Jacqueline Wabara Business Management Bill Gates Foundation, Megan davenport-Connolly Royal Academy of Engineering, Andrew Pauling (NHS - Paramedic), Desart Ismaili, Jamie Jones, Karna Majdian UCL Architecture, Alexndra Borowska Product designer Genomics England, Henry Fung East of England Ambulance Service Trust, Mo Ahmed (London Fire Brigade), Hina Mir, John Brecknell, Clair Moughton NHS Medical profession, Harsh Verma (Cyber Security Analyst - KPMG LLP) and Sam Spacey Software Development Engineer Amazon Web Services.   Feedback and comments from some of the presenters include:    "It was great to meet the students and inform them about the apprenticeship route into asset management industry.
