Year 9 LPO BrightSparks Concert at The Royal Festival Hall

Year 9 students enjoyed a trip to the Royal Festival Hall to see the London Philharmonic Orchestra perform a selection of GCSE pieces, interspersed with a narrator sharing analysis and theoretical terms about the pieces and providing an engaging quiz for students to complete throughout the performances.
The students enjoyed seeing a live orchestra performance, as well as having the opportunity to visit London at Christmas time and see the winter markets around the South Bank.
Students stated, “the orchestra was amazing,” “I found this very inspiring,” “it was great seeing a live concert and learning how the composers constructed their pieces,” and “it was great experiencing a trip to London at Christmas time!”
