Girls Support Girls' Workshop - Years 9, 10 & 11 (Chain Reaction Theatre)
BackChain Reaction visited The Warren School to run a ‘Girls Support Girls’ workshop programme to groups of girls, using transformative drama-based methods to build their confidence.
They used different games to highlight and understand how the girls feel about body, love, relationships and eating disorders, whilst educating them about those subjects and allowing the girls to express their views and experiences.
Other areas included:
- the importance of individuality
- awareness of mental health issues
- healthy body image
- the importance of being open and supportive to other young women
- awareness of sexual health issues and positive relationships
By the end of the workshops the girls were more confident, not only in themselves, but also in supporting what is right and what is wrong. They had an incredible time and asked the ladies to come in again so they can do more workshops.
