Year 12 Sociology Trip to the Old Bailey
Back
Year 12 Sociology students took part in a tour of the Royal Courts of Justice where some of the country’s most significant legal judgements are made. This was followed by a tour of the secret alleys and courtyards of the nearby Inns of Court. The tour was conducted by Tim Wood who has more than 30 years' experience of working at the Old Bailey as a court reporter.
The tour then moved on to the Old Bailey, the country's leading criminal Court, for a talk on the fascinating history of the court. Students really enjoyed their opportunity to watch two fascinating trials being heard that day (an attempted terrorism and sexual offence case).
