Year 7 visit the London Christmas lights
BackOn Monday 4th December, over thirty Year 7 pupils were taken into Central London by Mr Halstead, Ms Cawley, Ms Simon and Ms Burrell to enjoy the Christmas lights. Despite it being a fairly cold and slippery winter’s night, they had the chance to take in the illuminations on Oxford Street, with a stroll down Carnaby Street, and walking up and down Regent Street, including the wonderful display windows at Hamleys. For some pupils, this was their first time in London, and they felt a real sense of importance and occasion when travelling on the train.
Our lucky pupils particularly enjoyed the experience, with one commenting, “The lights are so beautiful!” Another pupil said that they were “mesmerised” by the space-themed display in Carnaby, and all involved agreed that they would love to come back again in the future.
Mr Halstead would like to thank Year 7 for their excellent behaviour on the trains and whilst in London, and would also like to thank Ms Cawley, Ms Simon and Ms Burrell for their invaluable support on the trip.
