Year 11 Festival of Apprenticeships Trip:

Coinciding with National Careers Week, on Wednesday 5th March 2024, twenty-eight Year 11 pupils visited the Festival of Apprenticeships event at The Oval in Kennington. Pupils were able to meet and network with a range of reputable employers and apprenticeship providers including AstraZeneca, Lloyds Bank, British Airways, Deutsche Bank, NHS, Amazon and EY. Pupils were able to learn about different entry routes apprenticeships and levels they could apply for whilst speaking to 50+ exhibitors in attendance. It was pleasing to see the engagement of pupils during the event, who represented the school with great credit.
The trip helped meet the Gatsby Benchmarks of:
1. A stable careers programme
2. Learning from career and labour market information
3. Addressing the needs of each pupil
5. Encounters with employers and employees
7. Encounters with further and higher education
8. Personal guidance
