France trip
BackOn Thursday 24th October 44 students from years 8, 9 and 10 departed early to France.
After crossing the Channel on the ferry we went straight to our first visit; the chocolate factory, where we learnt about how chocolate is made in French and English and even got to try some - c'était délicieux! After the chocolate factory we went to our hotel in the small village of Ambleteuse for dinner and some rest.
The next morning we started the day by walking to the beach where we explored and relaxed. Then, we took the coach to a 'boulangerie' where we learnt about making bread and croissants. We rolled our own croissants and the owners were really funny and made us laugh a lot as well as making us speak a lot of French! Our final activity for the day was the sea life centre in Boulougne-sur-mer where we saw loads of weird and wonderful fish and some crocodiles and seals.
On the final day we had some time to do some souvenir shopping before we had to get the ferry back to England.
We'd like to say a big 'MERCI' to Ms Dixon, Mrs Chowdhury, Mr Jethwa and Mr Bilson fo accompanying us on the trip - c'était inoubliable!
