Thirty Year 9 students and two teachers went on a geography school trip to Sky Studios to learn about environment champions and to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of human activities on the environment.

Sky Studios is a state-of-the-art facility located in West London that produces and broadcasts television shows and movies. The studio has a strong commitment to sustainability and has implemented several initiatives to reduce its environmental impact.  During the trip, the students had the opportunity to learn about these initiatives and how they contribute to a more sustainable future.

Students were introduced to the concept of environment champions, which refers to individuals, communities, and organisations that take an active role in protecting the environment.

Students used studio quality recording and editing equipment in order to create reports.  They were then given a tour of Sky Studios where they had the opportunity to watch Sky Sports being recorded live as well as learning about potential employment opportunities at Sky.

The trip was thoroughly enjoyed by all pupils and staff, with some of the pupils commenting, “it was the best trip ever!”
