Y8 Tower of London Trip

Back
October 14th 2024

The History department took students in Year 8 to the Tower of London last week. This is a trip which will be repeated across the year as we seek to give students the opportunity to visit a famous London landmark which has played a vital role in our nations history. Students visited the iconic White Tower, saw the Crown Jewels, and attended a workshop which focused on famous prisoners who have been locked away in the Tower. This trip coincides with the Reformation Unit students have learnt about this term which explains how England under King Henry VIII broke with Rome which led to centuries of religious division and conflict. Students behaved impeccably on the trip and looked very smart throughout. The History department is excited to be give more students the opportunity to visit this historic site over the rest of the academic year.
