Bugsy Malone Production

Back
November 8th 2024

On 24th October Warren School Performing Arts department presented our production of Bugsy Malone.

Students had been working so hard to prepare the show and it was great to see all their dedication and resilience throughout rehearsals paying off in the final performance. Students thoroughly enjoyed being in costume, having props, head microphones and the final scene with the splurge guns was a highlight for all involved. The band and singers did such a great job preparing all the songs from the show. Dancers brought energy to key songs including "Fat Sam's Grand Slam", "Bad Guys" and "Down and Out". It was fantastic to have some wonderful soloists including two from Year 8 who handled the pressure of their roles really well. The drama scenes included students from Yr 8-12 which meant younger students were able to be inspired by the more experienced actors.

Students commented:

"It was a really fun experience and I loved being in the band"

"Having the costumes was so exciting and I loved the dresses"

"The custard pie in the face and the splurge guns were my favourite things"

Thank you and well done to all the students involved in the show.
